Privacy Policy

The short version. When you message Therapist Harry on WhatsApp we store your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the messages you send, so that Harry can hold a continuous conversation. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to generate Harry's replies. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your conversations with anyone outside the providers listed below. You can have everything deleted at any time by messaging DELETE or emailing us.
Who we are
Therapist Harry ("Harry", "we", "us") is an automated conversational service delivered over WhatsApp and on this website. For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described here, contact support@therapistharry.com.
What we collect

We do not collect your contacts, location, device identifiers, or WhatsApp messages sent to anyone other than Harry. We do not use cookies or analytics on this website.
Sensitive information
People discuss intimate and distressing things with Harry. Depending on where you live, some of what you write may count as sensitive or special-category personal data. We ask you to treat that seriously too: please do not send financial account details, government identification numbers, or another person's information that they have not agreed to share.
Harry is not a healthcare provider, and this service is not covered by HIPAA. Your conversations do not carry legal therapist–patient privilege and are not protected medical records.
Who your data goes to
We use three providers, and no others:
- Meta Platforms — delivers WhatsApp messages between you and Harry. Meta's handling of the messages in transit is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — runs this service and stores the conversation database, in the United States.
- Anthropic — generates Harry's replies. Message content and Harry's session notes are sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural profiling.
Where your data is stored
Conversations are stored in the United States. If you are messaging from outside the United States, your information is transferred there.
How long we keep it
We keep your conversation for as long as you keep using the service, because continuity is the point of it. If you have not messaged Harry for 12 months, we delete your conversation and your record. You can also delete everything sooner, at any time — see below.
Deleting your data
Option 1 — message DELETE (immediate)
Send the single word DELETE to Harry on WhatsApp, on the number you were given when you joined. Your data is erased straight away and Harry replies to confirm. There is no account to close and no form to fill in.
Option 2 — email us (within 30 days)
Email support@therapistharry.com from an address we can reply to, and include the phone number you messaged Harry from so we can locate the right record. We complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your phone number and WhatsApp profile name
- Every message you have sent to Harry
- Harry's session notes about your relationship
- Your record in our database
If you were the last partner in a session, the session itself and Harry's replies are removed with it. Deletion is permanent — there is no undo and no backup to restore from.
Because Harry works with a couple, a deletion request removes your messages and record. If your partner also wants their side removed, they need to send their own request from their own number.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent. Email support@therapistharry.comand we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
If you are in the UK, EU, or EEA, our lawful basis for processing your messages is your consent, given when you choose to message Harry. You may withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your data, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Safety and emergencies
If you tell Harry you are in danger, he will say so plainly and point you to emergency services or a crisis line, because he cannot reach you himself. Harry does not contact emergency services on your behalf and cannot monitor your messages for danger in real time. Harry is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Children
This service is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
Security
Conversations are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with access restricted to the operator of this service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to message Harry after a change means you accept the updated policy.
